Mental Health and Active Shooters

According to Harvard psychologist Martha Stout, author of The Sociopath Next Door, one in every 25 people is a sociopath. A sociopath or psychopath, also known as an antisocial personality disorder is a condition common to many active shooters.

These people disregard or violate, the rights of others, having little to no conscience or regard for societal laws, with no remorse. While they may sometimes appear charming, they’re typically manipulative, reckless and aggressive, irresponsible and often antisocial, prone to emotional outbursts and fits of rage.

In a world of 7.5 Billion people, this means we have roughly 300 Million sociopaths out there. That’s nearly the same as the entire population of the United States. What are the chances you may run across one with a gun and a plan?

Of note, not all sociopaths are maniacal killers - however, the point is still clear. You cannot change the world, but you CAN change how you face it. DefendAPack buys you precious time in an active shooter situation.
